Job summary

Encore Semi, Inc. is seeking a Senior Physical Design Engineer to lead RTL-to-GDSII implementation of high‑performance SoCs on GF 12LP. You will own floorplanning, CTS, routing, STA, and signoff, while driving timing, power, and area goals.

Remote work across the USA with competitive salary and benefits. Requirements include 5+ years in ASIC physical design, strong Synopsys Fusion Compiler and PrimeTime skills, scripting in Tcl/Python, and a BS/MS in EE or CE.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ASIC physical design experience with tape-outs on FinFETs (≤14nm/12nm).
• Proficient with Synopsys Fusion Compiler (or ICC II) and PrimeTime.
• Strong grounding in synthesis, CTS, and signoff methodologies.
• Scripting skills in Tcl, Python, or Perl.
• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Implementation: Drive physical design from synthesis through GDSII signoff.
• Core P&R & Optimization: Floorplanning, power grid, placement, CTS, routing.
• Timing & Signoff: Lead STA, parasitic extraction, multi-corner/multi-mode closure.
