Job summary

Encore Semi, Inc. is seeking a Senior Physical Design Engineer to own RTL-to-GDSII implementation for GF 12LP. You will lead block- and top-level PD, tackle FinFET challenges, and push timing closure across PPA targets while driving robust signoff.

The role requires 5+ years of ASIC PD experience, strong scripting in Tcl/Python, and hands-on use of Synopsys Fusion Compiler and PrimeTime. Remote work is available nationwide in the USA with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ASIC physical design experience.
• Tape-out experience on FinFET nodes ≤14nm/12nm.
• Strong SDC constraints knowledge and signoff familiarity.
• Proficient scripting in Tcl and Python or Perl.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Implementation: lead RTL-to-GDSII on GF 12LP using Fusion Design Platform.
• Core P&R & optimization: floorplanning, power grid, placement, CTS, and routing for GF 12LP.</br>
• Timing & signoff leadership: STA, extraction, multi-corner/multi-mode closure with PrimeTime/StarRC.
• Physical verification & reliability: handle DRC/LVS, EM/IR-drop analysis, dual patterning challenges.
• Automation: write Tcl/Python scripts to streamline flows and track PPA metrics.
