Job summary

Encore Semi, Inc. is seeking a Senior Physical Design Engineer to lead RTL-to-GDSII for high-performance SoCs on GF 12LP. You will own advanced FinFET design challenges, drive PPA boundaries, and push timing closure using Synopsys tools.

You will orchestrate floorplanning, CTS, routing, STA, extraction, and reliability checks while developing Tcl and Python scripts to streamline flows. This role offers remote work within the USA and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ASIC physical design experience with tape-outs on FinFET nodes.
• Hands-on proficiency with Fusion Compiler and PrimeTime.
• Strong SDC constraints understanding and signoff methodologies.
• Scripting skills in Tcl, Python, or Perl.
• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Led RTL-to-GDSII implementation of high-performance SoCs.
• Performed floorplanning, power grid design, placement, CTS, routing.
• Directed STA, extraction, and multi-corner/multi-mode closure.
• Applied DRC/LVS, EM/IR-drop analysis, and FinFET reliability.
• Developed Tcl/Python scripts to optimize flows and track PPA.
