Texas Oncology in Round Rock is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join our team at the level that matches experience (Level 1, 2, or Sr). The role supports PET imaging procedures and is integral to patient care and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will have PET-CT certification, CNMT/ARRT (N) credentials, and 3–5 years of nuclear medicine experience. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration with medical leadership.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology with PET-CT certification.
• CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable.
• 3–5 years experience in nuclear medicine and/or PET experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures including radiopharmaceutical injection, contrast administration, protocol setup, patient positioning, imaging and archiving.
• Assists in scheduling and front-office functions to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensures accuracy of patient demographics, report distribution and files.
• Collects clinical data for patient follow-up and develops teaching materials.
• Maintains safety standards and conducts daily QC to monitor scanner performance.
• Reports malfunctions/needs for service to the proper company or facility.
• Manages patient data and film archiving, transfers and logging.
• Understands contraindications of IV contrast and reactions and knows procedures to follow.
• Orders necessary office, medical, printing and archiving media.
