Job summary

Texas Oncology in Dallas is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join our radiology team. This on-site role supports the Dallas Sammons location and offers progression from Level 1 to Sr based on experience.

The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic PET imaging, ensure patient safety, and assist with scheduling and data management. We value teamwork and provide comprehensive benefits, including PTO, retirement plans, and LTIP opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology with PET-CT certification.
  • 3–5 years experience in nuclear medicine or PET experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification and state licensure where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures to include injection of radiopharmaceuticals and/or IV contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction and image archiving.
  • Assists in procedure scheduling and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient demographics, report distribution and patient files.
  • Assists with collection of clinical data for follow-up and development of teaching material.
  • Provides protection for patient and self in accordance with safety standards and conducts daily quality control.
  • Reports malfunctions and/or need for service to the proper company or facility.
  • Responsible for patient data and films including printing, archiving, retrieval, and transfers.
  • Understands contraindications with IV contrast and recognizes reactions.
  • Ordering of necessary office, medical, printing and archiving media.
