Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join the Dallas Sammons location. Roles vary by experience level (Level 1, Level 2, Sr) and require nuclear medicine or radiologic technology background with PET-CT certification.

The team will perform imaging, injections, data handling, and safety procedures to support cancer care. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in nuclear medicine (or PET experience), CNMT/ARRT(N), and state licensure where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology with PET-CT certification.
  • Minimum three to five years experience in nuclear medicine and/or previous PET experience preferred.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable.
  • Level 2 requires minimum five years nuclear medicine experience including at least two years PET or nuclear medicine experience.
  • Level Sr requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum four years nuclear medical PET experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures including radiopharmaceutical injection and IV contrast.
  • Assists in procedure scheduling and related front office tasks.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient demographics, report distribution, and files.
  • Collects clinical data for follow-up and education materials development.
  • Maintains daily QC to monitor scanner performance and safety standards.
  • Reports malfunctions and coordinates service needs.
  • Manages patient data and films, including printing, archiving, and transfers.
