Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join the Dallas Sammons location. The role may be classified as Level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience.

The PET Technologist will perform PET imaging procedures, ensure QA, and collaborate with Medical Director and management on technical issues. Ideal candidates have nuclear medicine or radiologic technology background, PET-CT certification, and 3–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an AMA-accredited program, with PET-CT certification.
  • Minimum three to five years experience in nuclear medicine and/or PET experience preferred.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures including injection of radiopharmaceuticals and IV contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, image reconstruction and archiving.
  • Assists in procedure scheduling and related front-office functions to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient demographics, report distribution and patient files.
  • Maintains patient data and films: printing, archiving, retrieval, data transfers and logging.
