Job summary

Ladders is seeking a People Business Partner for Product and Engineering in San Francisco. You will be a strategic partner to senior leaders, shaping workforce design and talent initiatives in a fast-moving, technically complex environment.

In this role you will guide performance management, leadership development, and engagement strategies, partnering with executives to scale teams and drive retention with a data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of HR experience in senior HR or people business partner role.
• Experience supporting a large product and engineering organization with hundreds of employees.
• Background in companies recognized for strong engineering capabilities.
• Direct partnership with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, or Chief Product Officers.
• Proven ownership of engineering performance cycles and promotion processes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and engineering leadership as a trusted HR advisor.
• Lead organizational design and workforce planning as teams scale.
• Manage the talent cycle, including performance reviews and promotions.
• Develop engineering leaders through talent reviews and coaching.
• Address sensitive employee relations issues and manage change effectively.
• Use data to inform decisions on attrition and engagement.
