Job summary

Baseten is looking for a Senior People Business Partner in San Francisco to support rapid growth. You will partner closely with leadership, shape team structures, and drive talent and performance strategies across the organization.

You will operate embedded with managers, helping define org design, career paths, and change management while maintaining high business judgment and a human approach. In-person collaboration 3+ days weekly in SF.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive People Business partner experience partnering with all management levels.
• Experience supporting 400+ employee organizations through rapid growth.
• Strong business acumen with ability to provide context and trade-offs.
• Proven ability to navigate high-stakes people decisions with judgment.
• Analytical thinker who builds simple scalable processes.
• High-ownership mindset with bias toward execution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted people partner to leadership and surface systemic issues, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide data-driven insights on org design, succession, performance, retention, and engagement.
• Build management capacity with hiring, setting expectations, feedback, and development.
• Collaborate on headcount planning, budgeting, and change management during growth.
• Navigate investigations, exits, and organizational changes with care and compliance.
• Partner with Compensation on salary benchmarking and equity strategy.
