Job summary

Bakemark is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Technician to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely processing of payroll for 1,350+ employees across several states. Dayforce experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing required.
• Strong knowledge of FLSA and wage-hour regulations.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with payroll reporting and audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll using Dayforce.
• Review and audit timecards, pay codes, PTO, and sick time for accuracy and compliance.
• Process new hires, terminations, retroactive pay, commissions, and bonuses.
• Manage payroll corrections, off-cycle payrolls, and pay adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws (FLSA).
• Respond to employee payroll and timekeeping inquiries professionally.
