Job summary

GHJ seeks a Senior Specialist, Payroll to lead accurate, timely and compliant payroll operations using Dayforce Payroll and PuzzleHR. You will own day-to-day payroll processing for ~300 employees (bi-weekly) and ~10 weekly, ensuring accuracy and adherence to state and federal regulations.

Partner with People Operations and Finance to resolve issues, maintain records, and implement process improvements that enhance payroll controls and the employee experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive payroll experience with 1–2 years Dayforce experience.
• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing and post-payroll validation.
• Experience handling multi-state payroll and related tax requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute bi-weekly payrolls for ~300 employees and weekly payrolls for ~10 via Dayforce Payroll.
• Manage full payroll cycle: pre-processing audits, calculations, previews, reconciliation, submission and post-payroll validation.
• Review timekeeping, time-off, earnings, deductions and payroll data before processing.
• Process pay changes, bonuses, commissions and off-cycle payments.
• Maintain payroll records and PTO/sick balances; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reports and collaborate with Finance on GL entries.
