Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to ensure federal and multi-state payroll tax compliance in a fast-paced PEO environment. The role focuses on accurate tax processing, research, and regulatory interpretation across jurisdictions.

The Senior Specialist will verify timely payroll tax activities, handle complex tax codes, and communicate regulatory updates to leadership while collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years multi-state payroll tax experience.
• Minimum of one year of Senior/Lead/Supervisor experience.
• PEO or related industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on tax return processing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, federal, state and local wage laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or reviews payroll tax documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Performs tax reconciliations and determines liability for units or divisions.
• Assists in the preparation and distribution of tax forms.
• Researches discrepancies and tax code changes.
• Interprets complex payroll tax regulations and implements changes.
