Vensure Employer Solutions in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll tax compliance across federal, state, and local levels. This role requires strong research and analytical skills in a fast-paced PEO environment.

The Senior Specialist will handle tax documents, reconciliations, and tax form processing, while staying updated on regulatory changes and coordinating with leadership to implement necessary updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years multi-state payroll tax experience.
• Minimum of one year of Senior/Lead/Supervisor experience.
• PEO or related industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on tax return processing experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, federal, state and local wage laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or reviews tax documents ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Performs tax reconciliations and determines liabilities.
• Assists in preparation and distribution of tax forms.
• Answers questions and researches discrepancies.
• Research, interpret, and understand existing or revised tax codes, laws, or forms.
• Modifies work procedures to reflect changes in tax law or code.
• Notify leadership of regulatory updates and implement changes.
• Resolve escalated issues with clients or internal departments.
