Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to oversee federal and multi-state tax compliance within the PEO industry. You will verify accuracy and timeliness of payroll tax processing, research regulatory changes, and advise on policy updates.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of multi-state payroll tax experience, senior/lead or supervisory background, CPP or FPC preferred, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Three+ years multi-state payroll tax experience.
• Senior/Lead or Supervisor experience required.
• PEO or related industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on tax return processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, federal, state and local wage laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or reviews a variety of tax related documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations.
• Performs tax reconciliations and determines liability for account, divisions, or business units.
• Assists in the preparation and distribution of tax forms.
• Answers questions and researches discrepancies.
• Research, interpret, and understand existing or revised tax codes, laws, or forms.
• Modifies work procedures to reflect changes in tax law or code.
• Notify leadership of regulatory updates and propose and implement required changes
• Resolve escalated issues with clients or internal departments.
