Job summary

The role requires interpreting complex tax codes, performing reconciliations, and researching discrepancies, while communicating updates to leadership and collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years multi-state payroll tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local wage laws.
• Experience with PEO or similar environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review tax documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform tax reconciliations and determine liabilities.
• Assist in tax form preparation and distribution.
• Research tax codes and interpret changes to payroll processes.
• Notify leadership of regulatory updates and implement changes.
• Resolve escalated issues with clients or internal teams.
