Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions seeks a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to manage federal, state, and local tax compliance for a high-volume PEO environment. You will verify accuracy, ensure timeliness, and support regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.

The role requires deep knowledge of payroll tax regulations, strong research skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving tax codes while collaborating with internal teams to maintain accurate payroll processing.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of multi-state payroll tax experience.
• Senior/Lead or Supervisor experience required.
• PEO or related industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, federal, state and local wage laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review tax-related documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform tax reconciliations and determine tax liabilities.
• Assist in preparation and distribution of tax forms.
• Answer questions and research discrepancies.
• Interpret and analyze complex payroll tax codes and forms.
• Update procedures reflecting changes in tax law or policy.
