Intuit is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead complex notice and amended return work across multiple states. You will own end-to-end resolution, provide SME guidance, and develop junior staff while ensuring accurate tax filing and escalation handling.

The role emphasizes resolving intricate payroll tax defects, mentoring teammates, and contributing to SOPs and knowledge bases for long-term improvements.

Competenze

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with a focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notices; able to draft penalty abatement requests and agency responses.
• Experience preparing amended Federal (Form 941-X, W-2c) and State payroll tax returns across multiple states.
• Deep knowledge of federal payroll tax law, penalties, and inter-state tax compliance.

Mansioni

• Resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, owning full case lifecycle from intake to closure.
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns (Federal and State) across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple periods; trace to originating payroll run and drive corrections.
• Maintain high productivity resolving correction, amendment, and notice requests with high accuracy.
• Mentor and coach team members; share knowledge and drive capability across the group.
