Job summary

Intuit seeks a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead complex tax notices and amendments, owning end-to-end resolution from intake to closure. You will file amended returns (Form 941-X and state equivalents) across many states and mentor junior staff, ensuring accurate, timely tax submissions.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in payroll tax with deep knowledge of FICA, FUTA, and multi-state compliance, plus strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience in state/federal notices, amendments, and corrections.
• Proven ability to draft penalty abatement requests and agency responses.
• Experience filing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices end-to-end.
• Prepare and file amended returns (Form 941-X, state equivalents) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors and drive complete correction workflows to resolution.
• Maintain high productivity resolving corrections, amendments, and notices.
• Coach and mentor senior staff; share resolution processes and SBIC feedback.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
