Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to act as a senior payroll tax SME and technical lead.

The role focuses on solving complex notices, amendments, and tax corrections across multiple states, while mentoring less experienced staff and improving processes for customers. Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution for notices, amended returns, and cross-state corrections.
• Deep knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notices; ability to draft penalty abatement requests with documentation.
• Experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across multiple states including PA and OH.
• Strong knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW, payroll tax deposit schedules, and related penalties and interest.

Responsibilities

• Resolve the most complex State and Federal payroll tax notices across multiple states and cases, owning the full lifecycle from intake to closure.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X and state equivalents) across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods or jurisdictions; drive correction workflow to resolution.
• Maintain high productivity resolving correction, amendment, and notice requests with high accuracy.
• Coach Senior Payroll Tax Processors real-time and train on resolution processes to build team capability.
