Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution for notices, amended returns, and payroll error correction across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notice types; ability to draft penalty abatement requests and agency response letters with supporting documentation.
• Hands-on experience preparing and approving amended Federal (Form 941-X, W-2c) and State payroll tax returns across all states, including complex local requirements.
• Deep knowledge of federal payroll tax law: FICA, FUTA, FITW, tax deposit schedules, penalties and interest.
• Multi-state payroll tax expertise: reciprocal agreements, resident vs nonresident taxation, and local tax compliance.

• Resolve the most complex State and Federal payroll tax notices, owning the full lifecycle from intake to closure.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods or jurisdictions.
• Maintain high productivity case resolution with accurate handling of corrections and amendments.
• Monitor WIP, identify aging cases and blockers, and drive resolutions with root-cause analysis.
• Serve as a real-time resource for Senior Payroll Tax Processors and coach teammates to build capability.
• Conduct structured coaching sessions and contribute to team meetings and knowledge sharing.
• Author and review SOPs and KB articles, identifying recurring errors for corrective action.
• Identify trends and compliance issues and communicate findings with recommended responses.
• Support cross-functional collaboration to resolve interconnected customer issues end-to-end.
