Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead resolution of complex state and federal payroll tax notices and amended returns across multiple states.

This remote role with SelectTime offers flexible hours (20–40 per week) and an hourly, non-exempt schedule, focusing on tax defect resolution rather than processing payroll. You will own the most challenging cases, coach junior staff, develop SOPs, and collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams to

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices.
• Experience preparing amended returns (Federal and State) across multiple states.
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and audit trails.
• Lead or SME experience with coaching junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices across multiple quarters and states.
• Prepare and file amended returns (Federal and state) across 10+ states.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods; drive corrections.
• Coach and mentor Senior Payroll Tax Processors; share resolution knowledge.
• author, review, and approve SOPs/KB articles; identify error patterns.
• Collaborate across Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.
