Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focused on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notice types and handling penalty abatement requests.
• Experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (e.g., Form 941-X, W-2c).

Responsibilities

• Resolve the most complex payroll tax notices across multiple quarters and states.
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Coach and mentor junior staff to build team capability and reduce dependency.
• Document SOPs and KB articles for core processes and ensure QA alignment.
