Job summary

Intuit, Inc. seeks a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead complex payroll tax defect resolution and notice responses. This role focuses on ensuring accurate amended returns and correcting multi-state payroll tax issues, while coaching junior staff to build team capability.

The position offers flexible hours through SelectTime with minimum 20 hours per week and potential to scale up to 40 hours. Overtime eligibility applies as an hourly, non-exempt role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notices; ability to draft penalty abatement requests and agency responses.
• Experience preparing amended Federal (Form 941-X, W-2c) and State payroll tax returns across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Resolve the most complex State and Federal payroll tax notices in the team’s queue, owning the full case lifecycle.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods or jurisdictions; drive complete corrections.
