Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor with expert knowledge in state and federal payroll tax notices, amendments, and corrections. As a technical lead, you will own complex cases end-to-end, mentor teammates, and drive process improvements to enhance customer outcomes.

You’ll work in a flexible, remote role with 20–40 hours weekly, focusing on building capability, reducing errors, and delivering accurate tax filings across states.

Qualificações

• 4+ years in payroll tax with a focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Ability to independently draft penalty abatements and agency responses with supporting docs.
• Lead/SME experience and coaching junior staff on complex resolution scenarios.
• Advanced Excel skills for reconciliation and audit trails.

Responsabilidades

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices across multi-quarter and multi-state scenarios.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c).
• Diagnose and fix payroll tax errors across periods and jurisdictions; drive complete correction workflow.
• Coach and support Senior Payroll Tax Processors to build team capability and reduce dependency.
• Identify trends and communicate findings with recommended resolutions to stakeholders.
