Intuit, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead complex state and federal notice resolutions and amended returns. You will own the full case lifecycle, coach junior staff, and contribute to SOPs and knowledge bases.

The role emphasizes deep tax defect resolution and process improvement, with a flexible, hourly schedule and cross-team collaboration to ensure accurate tax filings and customer service.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in payroll tax with focus on defect resolution across multiple states.
• Proven ability to draft penalty abatement requests and agency responses.
• Experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices across multiple states and quarters.
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns (941-X, W-2c) end‑to‑end.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and share knowledge through SOPs.
• Monitor WIP, identify blockers, and drive corrective actions.
