Intuit is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and Subject Matter Expert to own the most complex payroll tax escalations and governance of SOPs. You will coach the team, review knowledge assets, and drive continuous improvement in tax processing across multiple jurisdictions.

The role emphasizes independent resolution of high-stakes issues, collaboration with cross-functional partners, and a focus on compliance and process excellence.

Competenze

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution.
• Experience as lead/ SME with coaching junior staff through nuanced scenarios.
• Expert knowledge of tax regs across US jurisdictions and state programs.
• Advanced writing skills for SOPs and technical documents.
• Proven ownership of team SLAs and proactive issue resolution.

Mansioni

• Serve as primary real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 staff.
• Author, review, and approve SOPs and KB articles across operations.
• Conduct quarterly coaching sessions using SBIC feedback model.
• Lead or support daily stand-ups and group QA meetings.
• Oversee WIP, backlog, and aging reports; advise staffing needs.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices and multi-quarter amendments.
• Approve complex amended returns across all states.
• Identify trends and communicate risks with data-driven insights.
• Represent the team in cross-functional meetings, ensuring compliance.
