Intuit seeks a Lead Tax Processor and Subject Matter Expert to drive complex payroll tax issue resolution and SOP governance. You will own escalation management, train staff, and ensure compliance across states.

This role blends technical depth with formal coaching and SOP oversight in a fast-paced, process-driven environment. You will partner with the PTO team to review cases, author knowledge resources, and guide cross-functional stakeholders through risk-informed decisions.

Formación

• 4+ years in payroll tax with complex defect resolution and multi-state filings.
• Previous formal lead/senior SME role with coaching junior staff.
• Expert knowledge of US payroll tax regs, including local/state programs.
• Advanced writing skills for SOPs and technical docs.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 staff; teach resolution paths.
• Own SOPs and KB articles; ensure formal approval processes.
• Conduct quarterly coaching using SBIC feedback model; close skill gaps.
• Lead team huddles, QA sessions, and daily stand-ups in manager's absence.
• Oversee WIP, backlog, aging reports; advise staffing with M1 manager.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices across multiple states; ensure audit trails.
• Approve complex amended returns (Federal/State) with proper reconciliation.
• Identify trends and risks; present data-driven recommendations.
