Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and Subject Matter Expert to guide the PTO team, own the most complex tax resolutions, and approve SOPs across the operation. You will act as the primary escalation path and mentor teammates to raise capability set.

This virtual SelectTime role offers 20–40 hours weekly with flexible scheduling and overtime eligibility. You will champion accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement while coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders in the US.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in payroll tax with complex defect resolution.
• Experience as lead/ SME coaching staff.
• In-depth knowledge of US tax regs incl. local/state programs.
• Advanced writing for SOPs and technical docs.
• Owner of SLA metrics with proactive issue resolution.
• 5+ years handling sensitive escalations.
• 4+ years in contact center or back-office operations.
• Comfort with leveraging AI tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary real-time go-to tax tech expert for TP1-TP3.
• Own SOPs and KB articles authoring and approvals.
• Conduct quarterly coaching sessions using SBIC model.
• Lead or support team huddles and stand-ups.
• Oversee WIP, backlog and aging reports; recommend staffing.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices and amendments.
• Identify trends and risks; communicate with leadership.
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings with compliance focus.
