Intuit’s SelectTime team seeks a Lead Tax Processor and Subject Matter Expert to own complex payroll tax escalations, govern SOPs, and coach staff. You will resolve high-stakes cases, approve amendments, and drive process improvements across the operation.

You will act as the go-to technical resource, guide SOP development, and participate in cross-functional initiatives to ensure compliance and efficiency. This role is remote with flexible hours and overtime eligibility.

Formación

• 4+ years in payroll tax with focus on complex tax defect resolution and multi-state filings.
• Experience as lead, senior specialist, or SME with coaching/Jr staff training.
• Mastery of US tax payment and filing regulations across jurisdictions.
• Advanced writing skills for SOPs and technical docs.
• Strong ownership of SLAs and proactive workflow fixes.
• Growth mindset: present vetted solutions to leadership.
• 5+ years handling high-sensitivity escalations independently.
• Experience in high-volume service ops (contact center or back-office).
• Comfort with AI tools to boost task efficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary, real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 staff.
• Own authoring, review, and approval of SOPs and KB articles.
• Conduct quarterly structured coaching using SBIC model.
• Lead or back up daily stand-ups and team huddles.
• Oversee WIP, backlog, and aging reports; advise staffing needs.
• Resolve severe state/federal payroll tax notices and amendments.
• Approve complex amended tax returns with audits in view.
• Identify trends and risks; report with data-driven actions.
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings and risk discussions.
