Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a experienced Payroll Supervisor to lead a payroll team and ensure accurate, timely processing of union and non-union payrolls.

You will supervise, train, and optimize payroll workflows while collaborating with the Accounting group on tax and W2 matters. The role requires deep knowledge of JDE time entry, payroll procedures, and strong leadership capabilities to mentor staff and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Independent and deadline-driven professional with payroll expertise.
• Strong knowledge of union payroll procedures and practices.
• Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs.
• Excellent computer skills and data entry
• Proven communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supervising teams (3–5 years) and confidential data.
• Experience with JDE time entry and payroll processes.
• Proficient with payroll software programs and tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Verify and process diverse payroll types with established controls.
• Mentor onboarding staff and develop department workflows.
• Coordinate with Accounting for tax and W2 adjustments.
• Maintain payroll accuracy and compliance through audits.
