Hoffman Construction seeks a Union Payroll Clerk to support the craft payroll department with weekly payroll processing for multiple entities across states. The role covers the full payroll cycle, onboarding, and setup, working closely with the payroll manager to ensure accurate, timely processing.

The position requires 2-3 years of payroll experience, JD Edwards proficiency, and strong English communication. This on-site Portland role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates degree in accounting or payroll training preferred.
• 2-3 years of payroll experience preferred.
• JD Edwards experience preferred.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, set up and update payroll records for employees.
• Coordinate and complete E-Verify requirements on time.
• Enter employee information in JD Edwards accurately.
• Support weekly payroll processing for multiple entities across states.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and assist year-end activities.
• Provide timely communication with internal and external customers.
