Job summary

E-J Electric T&D LLC in Wallingford, CT seeks a Union Payroll Administrator to join the Payroll team at the Wallingford location. The role handles multi-state, multi-company weekly payrolls for union employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will manage on-demand payments, adjustments, garnishments, and PTO rules while coordinating with managers to finalize attendance before processing. Strong union payroll experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on union payroll processing experience, preferably with IBEW or IATSE.
• Strong working knowledge of FLSA, federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Experience in a multi-entity contractor construction environment or manufacturing setting preferred.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• timely and accurately processing weekly multi-state, multi-company payrolls.
• Processing on-demand payments, retro payments, one-time payments, and tax adjustments.
• Managing void checks, direct deposit changes and reversals, and overpayment collections.
• Reviewing withholding orders for levies, garnishments, and other wage assignments.
• Coordinate with Operations to validate attendance records and finalize corrections before payroll.
