Job summary

Vetsource is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage full cycle payroll for multi-state and Canadian employees. You will ensure tax compliance, process overtime and deductions, and support year-end activities such as W-2s.

This remote, full-time role emphasizes accuracy, responsiveness, and collaboration with Accounting and HR teams. You will stay updated on changing payroll laws, coordinate with benefits and leaves teams, and assist with audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years in Human Resources or Finance with payroll administration.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
• Experience with multi-state and Canadian payroll is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state bi-weekly and ad-hoc payroll accurately and timely.
• Generate payroll reports post-processing and provide requested reports.
• Respond to payroll inquiries with clear, empathetic communication.
• Stay current on payroll laws and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support year-end processes including W-2 preparation.
