Job summary

RecruitAbility Ltd in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our client's payroll and accounting team. You will manage bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls, ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance, and support payroll reporting and audits to deliver a seamless payroll experience.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years in payroll or related fields, with 5+ years using automated systems and familiarity with PeopleSoft Payroll.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of payroll, accounting, or related experience.
• 5+ years using automated payroll and time/attendance systems.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions and regulations.
• Experience with journal entries and general ledger processes.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls with accuracy and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
• Maintain employee payroll records including taxes, deductions, direct deposits, garnishments, and benefits.
• Review payroll reports and validate data from automated systems.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and support GL reconciliation.
• Partner with Accounting, HR, and stakeholders to support payroll operations.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and drive continuous improvement.
