Job summary

Moss Consulting in Austin, TX is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support the Payroll Manager across a portfolio of client accounts. You’ll help prep and process payrolls, run off-cycle payrolls, and ensure accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.

You’ll need 2–5 years of payroll experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong Excel skills. This hybrid role offers work flexibility, competitive hourly pay, and a growing benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Stay on top of each client’s payroll cycle with deadlines and cutoffs.
• Prep and process client payrolls—review timesheets, earnings, deductions, and tax data for accuracy.
• Assist Payroll Manager and team with payroll runs for additional client accounts as needed.
• Process off-cycle payrolls—corrections, bonuses, termination pay, etc.—accurately and on time.
• Maintain clean, audit-ready payroll records for every client.
• Communicate proactively with clients about deadlines and missing information
