Payroll Senior Manager – Austin, TX (Hybrid)

A growing Austin company is seeking an experienced Payroll Senior Manager to lead payroll operations and ensure compliance across multiple locations. This role will oversee payroll processing for the US and Canada, collaborate with internal teams, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in payroll systems, compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for employees in the US and Canada.
• Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, and system enhancements.
• Partner with HR, Accounting, Tax, and Legal teams to address payroll needs.
• Handle employee inquiries and ensure exceptional payroll support.
• Lead and develop a small payroll team, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Utilize Workday, ADP, and other payroll systems for processing and reporting.
• Support global payroll expansion and integration of new payroll tools.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of payroll management experience, including US and Canadian payroll.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
• Experience with Workday and ADP.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and reporting.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team, drive process improvements, and implement payroll strategies.
