Job summary

VGS is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer, Payments Quality, to champion quality across our high-throughput payments platform. You will build AI-assisted testing strategies, automate end-to-end validation, and emulate external systems to ensure reliability at scale.

You will work with feature teams to embed testing into the SDLC, drive performance testing, and mentor engineers in quality engineering best practices, while advancing security and observability across global workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering focusing on quality engineering and performance testing.
• Hands-on with automated test suites in Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience with load testing tools and CI/CD integration.
• Proven ability to validate complex distributed systems at scale.
• BA/BS degree preferred; security and compliance awareness a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and embed automated quality benchmarks into pipelines.
• Lead high-concurrency load, stress, and latency testing.
• Apply AI-native testing approaches and build external-system emulators.
• Develop observability and proactive incident-prevention tests.
• Mentor teams and create reusable automated testing paths.
