Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join the Software Engineering team and elevate testing quality across the development lifecycle. You’ll help build automated testing capabilities that ensure secure, reliable, high-performing payment solutions for clients.

You will design and implement scalable test automation, drive continuous testing, and shape testing strategies with developers, product, and business teams. This role emphasizes TDD/BDD and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant professional experience in software testing, coding or development.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems or another technical discipline, or equivalent.
• Strong experience designing and developing automated testing frameworks and test suites for multiple testing levels.
• Hands-on knowledge of Java, Selenium, CI technologies and modern testing tools.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, TDD and BDD.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle by embedding automated testing and continuous quality practices.
• Build and evolve scalable test automation frameworks to increase coverage and efficiency.
• Strengthen performance, security and resilience testing strategies to mitigate risks.
• Influence engineering quality standards using TDD, BDD and automation practices.
• Own quality outcomes for complex client initiatives by prioritizing risk and defining test strategies.
