Very Good Security seeks a Sr. Software Engineer, Payments Quality, to own and enforce world-class quality standards across core payment systems. You will develop AI-assisted strategies, automate regression suites, and build emulators for external systems to ensure reliability at scale.

Collaborating with feature teams and product management, you will drive automated testing across the SDLC, focusing on hardening enterprise-grade financial platforms for performance and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with a focus on quality engineering.
• Experience designing automated test suites and performance tests.
• Strong scripting for test automation and API validation.
• Ability to embed quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own quality strategy for Payments Acceptance and automated guardrails.
• Design and run high-concurrency load, stress, and latency tests.
• Integrate AI-assisted tooling for test creation and data generation.
• Build observability and telemetry-driven test environments.
• Mentor teams on best practices and automated testing.
