Job summary

VGS is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Payments Quality, to own quality standards across our core payment systems. You will craft AI-assisted test strategies, implement end-to-end automation, and build emulators for external systems to ensure reliability and security.

You will partner with feature teams, manage automated testing frameworks, and drive performance testing at scale in a remote-first, hybrid work environment with US-focused benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on quality engineering and performance testing.
• Experience building automated test suites in Java, Python, Go or TypeScript with REST API testing.
• Hands-on performance, load, and stress testing at scale using tools like JMeter, Locust, Gatling, or k6.

Responsibilities

• Architect and embed quality benchmarks across Payments Acceptance, building automated guardrails that accelerate release cycles.
• Drive high-concurrency load, stress, and latency testing to ensure no dropped transactions during peaks.
• Pioneer AI-native software engineering focused on quality and test automation velocity.
• Develop observability with telemetry-driven test environments using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Mentor teams to build Golden Paths for automated testing and quality practices.
