Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Patient Access Associate to accurately collect demographic and insurance information for patients in the EHR at various entry points. The role includes cashiering duties and securing accounts by collecting co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance while ensuring EMTALA/HIPAA compliance.

You will work across departments (ED registration, main registration, bed management, cashier) and manage EHR work queues, delivering strong customer service and mentoring

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Four years of customer service experience, including two years in hospital registration.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records accurate demographic and insurance information in the EHR.
• Performs cashiering duties and collects co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance.
• Works across multiple areas (ED registration, main registration, bed management, cashier) and/or EHR work queues.
• Provides excellent customer service and serves as a resource and mentor to others.
