The position emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and effective communication with patients, families, and departments, with a focus on accurate data capture and seamless patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 Year of experience in healthcare setting and/or Customer Service area.
• None substitutable education or experience (optional).
• None certifications/licensure required.
• Experience with personal computers; familiar with medical terminology and billing.

Responsibilities

• Verify demographic and financial information for accurate medical records and billing.
• Interview patients to obtain required demographic and financial data.
• Obtain proper consent for adults and minors; obtain necessary signatures.
• Manage copies/scans of IDs and insurance cards.
• Cover registration areas and communicate with patients and representatives as needed.
• Assist training of new staff and report issues to supervisor; support leadership.
• Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude; uphold service standards.
• Handle daily cash drawer reconciliation and end-of-day reporting.
• Attend department meetings and share minutes when unable to attend.
