Job summary

Lexington Health Northeast Emergency Department in Columbia, SC seeks a Manager of Patient Access to oversee registration, eligibility, revenue cycle and admission processes for the new location opening Spring 2027. You will lead a multidisciplinary team across 24/7 shifts to ensure accuracy and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate’s Degree with 2 years leadership in patient revenue cycle or related area; Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year leadership in patient revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Patient Access staff across 24/7 shifts to ensure timely, accurate registrations.
• Lead budget planning and resource allocation for the department; monitor variances and report to Director.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, EMTALA, DNV and corporate policies; drive quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to align patient access processes with financial and clinical outcomes.
• Develop training plans, orientation programs, and on-boarding for new staff (minimum 40 hours).
• Review productivity and accuracy reports; implement performance improvements as needed.
