Job summary

VAST Data, Inc. is seeking a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer– OEM / eBox to own technical strategy for partner deployments. You will guide sizing, performance expectations and customization opportunities across partner hardware, ensuring a high-performance, differentiated customer experience.

You will support Sales Engineers and partner teams through the sales cycle, providing architecture guidance, readiness validation and hands-on problem solving for complex deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience deploying, tuning and troubleshooting complex infrastructure in production data centers.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise storage, distributed systems and software-defined infrastructure.
• Expertise across hardware, networking, firmware and software layers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as VAST’s technical subject matter expert for EBox and partner-based deployments.
• Act as escalation point and trusted advisor for Sales Engineers designing solutions on partner hardware.
• Participate in strategic customer campaigns to demonstrate technical and economic value of VAST AI OS on partner platforms.
• Size and architect solutions based on workloads, performance goals and infrastructure constraints.
• Develop expectations for performance, scalability, resiliency, and operational experience across configurations.
• Advise on how server, networking, storage media, and config choices affect performance and experience.
• Recommend and validate platform customizations for strategic opportunities and assess downstream impact.
• Guide customers through pre-installation readiness, validation and deployment planning.
• Create custom installation and success plans for complex deployments.
• Lead or coordinate troubleshooting of deployment issues spanning hardware, networking and software.
• Collaborate with Support, Engineering and Product to translate deployment experience into improvements.
• Build repeatable architectures and deployment practices to empower the SE and partner ecosystem.
