Job summary

Adyen in San Francisco seeks a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer, Hardware, to own OEM relationships and lead device-level issue resolution. You will be the primary technical authority, shaping how Adyen manages hardware partnerships while driving scalable tooling and processes.

The role requires 8+ years in technical solutions or partner engineering with customer-facing experience, and 4+ years in embedded or hardware environments. Travel to OEM sites and across time zones are expected.

Qualifications

8+ years in technical solutions/partner engineering or related roles.
4+ years embedded/systems engineering with hardware exposure.
Embedded Android experience in POS contexts is a plus.
Able to evaluate OEM root-cause claims and hold senior engineers accountable.
Proven track record turning reactive backlogs into durable processes, tooling, or automation.
Excellent communicator with senior partner engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
Strategic, proactive mindset beyond current tickets.
Willing to travel to OEM locations and across time zones.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary, most senior technical advisor for OEM engineering teams.
Lead technical strategy for OEM relationships and automation tooling.
Align Product/Engineering/Hardware teams on OEM priorities when needed.
Design and drive tooling and process improvements at scale.
Collaborate with Commercial to improve the Adyen device experience.
Mentor other engineers on debugging approaches and partner management.
Help shape the operating model for Hardware Partner Engineering as OEM relations grow.
