Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ seeks a Packaging Controls Engineer to work on high-speed beverage lines, programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs on-site. This day-shift role operates on a 2-2-3 schedule (6:00 AM–6:00 PM) with relocation assistance available.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in industrial automation, strong PLC/HMI skills, and ability to mentor maintenance staff while driving automation improvements.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or automation.
4+ years of industrial automation experience on high-speed lines.
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting capabilities.
Ability to read schematics and technical docs; good communication.
Experience with Allen-Bradley controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as on-shift controls expert for automated processing and packaging.
Provide Tier 1–2 PLC/HMI troubleshooting and repairs.
Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFDs, motion, and network issues to restore production.
Lead control projects to improve safety, quality and throughput.
Mentor maintenance technicians and operators on controls practices.
