Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced PLC Controls Engineer for our Glendale, AZ plant. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on high-speed beverage lines, providing on-shift automation expertise and mentoring maintenance staff.
The role requires 4+ years in industrial automation, strong ladder logic skills, and familiarity with FactoryTalk, Studio 5000, and EtherNet/IP. Relocation assistance is available; base salary is $100,000–$130,000 with a 20% target bonus.
Qualifications
- Hands-on PLC programming experience on high-speed production lines.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Experience in installing and troubleshooting PLC/HMI/drive networks.
- Mentoring and training maintenance technicians and operators.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for filling, canning, conveying and packaging equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation and network issues; implement fixes.
- Lead projects to improve safety, quality, reliability and throughput.
- Maintain documentation, backups and change records; support commissioning and upgrades.
- Mentor and train maintenance staff across the plant.
