Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks a Packaging Controls Engineer to work on-site in Glendale, AZ, on high-speed beverage filling and packaging lines. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs (Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000) and mentor maintenance staff.
This is a salaried, day-shift role on a 2-2-3 rotation, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, with relocation assistance and a 20% target bonus. The position requires 4+ years in industrial automation on fast production lines, strong PLC/HMI/VFD/servo skills,
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial automation on high-speed production lines.
- Hands-on PLC programming on Allen-Bradley systems.
- Strong troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo/motion, and industrial networks.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated processing, filling, canning, conveying, and packaging equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, motion-control, and industrial-network issues and restore production safely.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Develop and execute controls projects improving safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Participate in Management of Change for controls, equipment, and process modifications.
