Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced PLC Controls Engineer to support a high-speed beverage production facility in Glendale, AZ. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on running lines, act as on-site controls expert, and work with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to boost reliability and throughput.
The role requires 4+ years in industrial automation, 12-hour day shifts, and a base salary of $100,000–$130,000 with a 20% target bonus.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial automation on high-speed production lines
- Experience with beverage/CPG packaging equipment is a plus
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings
- Proven ability to diagnose PLC/HMI/network issues and implement fixes
- Willingness to work 12-hour day rotation (6:00 AM–6:00 PM)
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 on-shift controls support for automated packaging lines
- Diagnose PLC/HMI/VFD/servo and network issues and restore production safely
- Develop and implement PLC/HMI changes to improve safety and throughput
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators
- Support commissioning, upgrades, and system integration projects
- Maintain backups and documentation of PLC/HMI programs and drawings
- Participate in change management for controls modifications
