WSP USA seeks an experienced Field Services Engineer/Technician to join our power delivery team in Florida or the Carolinas. You will inspect, test, and troubleshoot moderately complex electrical systems, including 15 kV–500 kV substations, under guidance from senior staff.

Responsibilities include on-site relay testing with Omicron/Doble gear, data/documentation, safety compliance, and mentoring junior technicians. Travel up to 80% across the region is expected.

Formación

• 7+ years experience in electrical testing including medium and high voltage circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, and substation testing.
• Experience with transmission, generation, and distribution relays and protective schemes (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE).
• Relay calibration using test sets/devices such as Omicron CMC 256/356 and Doble F6150; control scheme testing and CT/PT circuit testing.
• Knowledge of testing standards such as NETA, IEEE, NFPA.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and document field data.

Responsabilidades

• Perform testing and commissioning for Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
• On-site protective relay testing using Omicron/Doble equipment.
• Document site activities with field forms, digital tools, and mobile apps.
• Support Project Lead or Field Supervisor and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain logs, photos, and labels with attention to detail.
• Travel up to 80% across the region and collaborate with field teams.
